Paris
Paris did not have an easy life...
She was purchased by a breeder to produce "high quality" offspring; However it did not work out that way. Her first foal did not have the right confirmation, and so Paris was deemed useless to her heartless owner. Forced to earn her keep, poor Paris was rented out to a riding stable where she was used in lessons and jumping sessions seven days a week, despite swollen tendons and worsening arthritis.
Paris came to BrightHaven as a boarder and could finally relax at the age of 24 years. Her owner obviously did not want to continue paying for her board, so she left Paris behind.
Needless to say, Paris now has a very good life here at BrightHaven. She is firmly attached to one of our other horses, Daisy, and she enjoys being served regular meals, being groomed and fussed over, and leisurely strolling across the big, luscious pasture.
Paris is very affectionate with people and enjoys their company very much. Gorgeous Paris now has what she should have had all along: A loving home and excellent care. You can sure see that she is one happy horse!
