Announcing the BrightHaven Caregiver Academy – Perfect for Pet Parents!

We’re thrilled to share exciting news that marks a new chapter for BrightHaven, the BrightHaven Caregiver Academy! Here’s what BrightHaven President & Founder Gail Pope especially wants you to know about this amazing addition: “After years of dreaming and planning, we’ve launched BrightHaven Caregiver Academy (BCA), a resource dedicated to empowering pet parents with the knowledge, skills, and support needed to care for aging and ill pets. But first, please let me express my gratitude for your continued support. Your kindness and generosity make our work possible, and your encouragement has been instrumental in bringing this new vision to life.”

BrightHaven’s Evolution: From Sanctuary to Academy

Gail explains, “As many of you know, BrightHaven has been dedicated to compassionate care for senior and special needs animals for over 30 years. And with your help, we created a safe sanctuary and developed a holistic approach to animal hospice, and now we’re excited to take this mission further—bringing everything we’ve learned directly to pet parents everywhere. In memory of my beloved husband, Richard, and our dear dogs, Rosie and Ziggy, who passed away in 2023, I felt a renewed calling to carry BrightHaven’s mission into a new form. My goal is to ensure that our legacy of care and compassion reaches even more pet families in need of guidance, connection, and support.”
